Kirsten Winton is a Chartered Physiotherapist with many years of experience. Having qualified with a BSc Honours degree from the University of Northumbria in 1996, she began her career in the NHS, gaining a firm foundation of knowledge and skills in many differing clinical areas. These included neurology, respiratory medicine, elderly care, surgery, musculoskeletal and hydrotherapy across a variety of settings.
Kirsten has continued her professional development by undertaking post graduate training in acupuncture, chronic pain, pilates, pelvic health, obstetrics and continence. Always up for a challenge, she enjoys problem solving and working with complex conditions, providing high quality hands on therapies and individually tailored rehabilitation programs. Kirsten has special interests in spinal and soft tissue problems and assessment and treatment of pelvic conditions. She continues to work in the NHS as a senior Womens Health Physiotherapist and has particular expertise in ante and post natal back and pelvic girdle pain, bladder and bowel problems in men and women including constipation, Diastasis Rectus Abdominis and post operative rehabilitation.
Away from work , she enjoys the outdoors, time with her family, painting abstracts and running half marathons.
