Since qualifying from Northumbria University in 2012 Alan has primarily worked in a musculoskeletal setting including outpatients, fracture clinic and GP surgeries. Alan has a wealth of valuable experience in sport working with Wallsend Rugby Club and more recently Durham University sports teams. He has also worked within a private setting treating clients with sporting, chronic and whiplash associated problems.
Alan has had the privilege of working with and leaning from some of the regions best and most experienced manual therapists. Allied to several post graduate courses in diagnostic assessment, acupuncture, manual and exercise therapy he is therefore able to identify and treat musculoskeletal issues effectively.
In addition to his work at Whitley Bay Clinic, Alan is also a senior NHS physiotherapist and is responsible for developing and running a spinal rehabilitation programme. Alan has a special interest in managing spinal and soft tissue problems, although he enjoys treating all types of musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain.
In his spare time he is a keen cyclist and has managed to complete the Fred Whitton challenge (112 miles over 9 of the lake districts biggest passes) for the last 2 years.
